As a local group of the LDWA, with over 50 members, we usually organise 4 challenge walks a year with distances up to 33 miles. We also incorporate a walk of 8-10 miles at each event hoping to encourage people to Long Distance Walking and to give children and families the opportunity to join in. We also welcome runners. Dogs are very welcome if they keep their humans under control!
Our walks are over a variety of terrain including farmland, sea shore, limestone pavements, moorland and fell. There is something to suit everyone. There are ample refreshments on the events, support and a certificate for all taking part. A badge is also available for each walk.
The LDWA is a national organisation and detail of ours and national events can be found in the 'Strider'. the associations magazine. Subscription to the LDWA is £13.00 a year, family membership £19.50, representing very good value for money.
